Can you Cure Cat partial or full Blindness?

My family has recently got a kitten, who looks as though he may be going blind. It began in just one eye becoming cloudy to now both looking not the way they used to. I do suspect their was animal abuse in my family towards it and have confronted the person. If it was animal abuse that cause the blindness is it reversible or should i kick that persons out for harming a poor Innocent kitty.
