The price of greatness is responsibility. Can you help me interpret this quote.?

It just means that when you achieve success or fame, you need to set a good example for others. Often times, people look up to you if you have this "greatness" and they follow what you do; so for their sake, you need to set a good example and act responsibly. Take for example, Micheal Phelps, who was recently caught smoking marijuana. He has become a famed and great athlete, so the world expects him to act responsibly; that is why so much criticism was put on him when he was caught. No one would really care if any average Joe was caught smoking pot, but since it was Phelps, it becomes a huge deal.
