How to fix 3/4" crown in kitchen floor in a house with a crawl space below?

I am looking to install hardwood floors in my house, but my kitchen has a 3/4" crown in the floor. I don't know if it helps to mention that we have a crawl space underneath the house, so it isn't concrete slab. Any suggestions? I heard I might just be able to nail the flooring down to level it?
