Can vertigo be ociated with depersonalization or derealization?

It seems to me that vertigo is better ociated with derealization. Most individuals who experience an episode of vertigo are very well aware of their own experience and maintain a sense of self throughout the episode. However, they tend to feel that the whole world around them is moving in ways it should not - is swirling, tumbling, or speeding up. Because they suddenly feel like someone lost in an unfamiliar place, I think it is best described as a form of derealization.
