How can Global Warming be causing more precipitation?

I was reading about effect of Global Warming (on nationalgeographic.com) and it said there is more precipitation. Also it is causing flooding and droughts will be more common, and hurricanes and other storms will be stronger.. I don't get this at all.. How I would think Global Warming would make all the that decrease?
