Can i use my precious stone collection for my tropical fish tank?

im getting my first tropical fish tank for christmas, and i have researched what fish i would like and what to do etc. now its time for the decoration planning, im going to go for a world monument theme, like im going to have the eiffel tower and statue of liberty, stuff like that. anyway, since i was little i have collected precious stones things like jasper, rose quartz, jade and amethyst, they are smooth small rocks and i doubt they are real as i buy them for like �2.50 each from tourist shops but they are really pretty and i think they would add a nice personal touch to my aquarium, is it ok to use them along with gravel of course, like have the randomly placed on the floor of the tank, and should i just wash them like gravel? thanks
